Victory!

I finally found the corn tortillas! You will never believe where they're shelved in my Canadian grocery store. They're really hidden. They are not in the Hispanic aisle. The aren't in the bread aisle either. Nor are they with the ethnic breads in the deli. None of those! Corn tortillas are in the dairy section!!

Which reminds me of another oddity of Canadian groceries. Sticks of butter are really rare. In the whole butter display, there will maybe be one tiny spot for stick butter and, invariably, it's salted. Who wants salted butter? Instead butter comes in bricks. BRICKS! Of BUTTER! It's nuts. Why would a 2 cup hunk of butter be useful? It's much harder to estimate amounts for cooking, especially if you only need, say, a tablespoon...
