New!

I got new jeans! Check them out! No holes, and they're flexible!!

Actually, I got them a month or so ago, but couldn't take their picture because I was camera-less. My camera decided to lose its mind this summer. Seriously, it went crazy! Whenever you turned it on it would start cycling through all of the menus and options, as if you were mashing all the buttons. This is my general strategy for games like Street Fighter or Final Fantasy, but not for photography... Sometimes it would eventually settle down so that I could actually take a picture, but it was anybody's guess with what settings or whether or not it would actually turn out. I brought it in for one of my labmates to look at since he had modified a digital camera to mount on an unmanned aircraft. I thought maybe he'd have some ideas as to whether or not it was fixable and, if so, how to go about doing it. Or, at the very least, I hoped it would electrocute him :D. (He got a little too close to the flash charger on the camera for the little airplane...) But unfortunately he decided it was toast, and moreover, he never gave it back, so I couldn't even try to get past the spazzing and take pictures.

I would have gotten a new camera right away, except I'm still feeling all of Mitzi's medical bills. But then I came up with a dangerous argument: Since Mitzi's veterinary expenses were so expensive, a new camera would be nothing in comparison, and I should definitely go ahead and get one! (Fortunately I didn't take this argument to the extreme and use it to justify all kinds of purchases.) Plus, because of Mitzi's expenses, I was set to receive quite a few rebates from my credit card; rebates which could be poised to use for a new camera! So that's what I did :). I just had to wait for said rebates. But they finally came, and I finally ordered the camera, and it finally arrived last week, and it's very cool. Yay!

  • I should follow in your footsteps and get new (un-holey) jeans. Not to mention, a new (un-broken) camera would be nice too.

You're such a role model, Meg!

P.S. The zested finger from the previous post gave me serious empathy pains. :|

  • Well, the rationalization did apply to one other thing. And that is making me happy. :-D
