The Kodak-est moment!

My dad likes to change the photo on his front page every so often. He favors black and whites from his childhood and charming family gatherings. But I can't understand why he's never used this picture:

Just scope out the nifty patterning on the abdomen (plaid ;D)!

(The day was getting kind of dismal and needed exactly the kind of smile a picture of a giant dragonfly perching on my dad's head could provide. I never realized how large of a presence Napoleon had. To be honest, I didn't pay him that much attention, but I'm now learning that I must have glanced at him and checked up on him frequently without really being aware of doing so. Now I'm constantly looking at the aquarium only to re-discover that it's empty. Ok, it's not entirely empty.... There are still three snails. Yay for snails. But they don't show up with a cursory glance. You actually have to look for them.)
