'tis the season...

... for rain and fog here in California.

... for getting fat.

... and for a strange domesticity in my sister. Last Christmas Jenny decided to let me teach her how to knit (I wore her down!). This year we gave sewing a shot. After making 2 great dog beds for Shasta (1 for the house, 1 for her crate) and a cat bed for Mitzi, we decided to dabble a little deeper. Jenny's plaid, unexpectedly A-line shorts are pretty special, but I think my too short, too tight duckie pajama bottoms win the this-is-why-we-buy-our-clothes prize. I was able to reclaim a few inches in the booty, so they're no longer too tight, but they still fit a little strangely. They're probably perfect for Jenny or some other short, buttless person.

... and unfortunately, it's also the season for recuperation. Poor schnookums. Santa saw fit to give her a broken collarbone this Christmas morning.
