Some editors are lazy

I'm reading a paper about chlorophyll extraction right now. Believe me, it's gripping! So far my favorite part is that the samples were "stored in a fridge".

Wow. How'd they get away with using the word "fridge" in a publication? When I was in high school I got a lot of crap from a certain student teacher for using "stuff" in a paper. (jerk) Maybe the journal Environmental and Experimental Botany is pretty relaxed? Good to know =).
