Fill in the Blank
I greatly enjoyed the following quote from the book I'm now reading:
The italics are from the original, but the underlines are mine. The idea is to replace the underlined words with descriptors of whatever you're doing. I have to say it's very true when remote sensing and remote sensors are substituted in. Maybe that's why I enjoy doing lit reviews. Maybe I'm a Mr. Norrell.
The practice of magic is full of frustrations and disappointments, but the study is a continual delight! All ... great magicians are one's companions and guides. Steady labour is rewarded by increase of knowledge and, best of all, one need not so much as look upon another of one's fellow creatures from one month's end to the next if one does not wish it!-- Mr. Norrell in Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell

1 Comments:
``I admire all my three sons-in-law highly,'' said he. ``Wickham, perhaps, is my favourite; but I think I shall like your husband quite as well as Jane's.'' A favorite quote from one of my favorites.
