Happy Feet

For a little while now my sidebar has been regaling you with daily updates on my footwear, specifically my socks. It doesn't seem fair that you only get the text descriptions though. After all, a picture is worth a thousand words! Fortunately, I have a way to show you pictures of some of my socks without initiating a ridiculous campaign designed solely to photograph them. You see, as part of our fieldwork, we take pictures of all of the things that we GPS. In between these things, we take a picture of our foot. It's just an easy way to demarcate between points. One algal covered mat of waterweed looks much like any other, and without that foot in between it would be very difficult to determine which photos belonged to which point, even with the help of the timestamp. So, since I didn't feel like starting to work right away this morning, I went through some of my team's field photos and found several good sock pictures. Yay! I hope you like them!
