Bad dairy air not from derriere
There was a picture of me in Wednesday's Davis Enterprise as part of the publicity for our performance next weekend. Well, of me and 4 other girls. I actually look good in it!
The last time my picture was in the paper for ballet (last summer), I felt I looked extra goofy. I think I was looking in slightly the wrong direction, or something like that. Or rather, I was just right, but everyone else was looking in slightly the wrong direction =D. But not this time! This time it's great. Yay. The best part is that they actually got my name right this time. Last time I was "Meg Williamson", Williamson being my friend Megan's last name. Cara always gets us similarly named people confused, so it wasn't altogether surprising. And since I disapproved of myself in the picture, I actually was pleased to be misnamed. Although I did lie just now when I said they got my name right this time. They got it almost right. Also not surprisingly, they made the common mistake of pluralizing me, Andrews being apparently much more common of a last name than Andrew. Which is all the more reason to be Andrew! We're singular in our singularity!!
The problem is getting my hand on a copy of it. I was hoping it would be online, so I went to the newspaper's website. And behold, I did find the article when I searched the site for "dance". Unfortunately, I can't access the archived article without paying $3. How awful! I'm not going to pay $3 for it! Especially since they don't even include the photos in the online archive. So really, that $3 would be for nothing I actually want. But the quest wasn't wholly disappointing. I did encounter this great headline on the front page: "Bad dairy air not from derriere". And I've queried my lab to see if anyone has last Wednesday's newspaper kicking around and if they can save the article, and more importantly the picture, for me.
On a completely unrelated note: I asked a guy out and he said yes!! But don't get your hopes up too much; I was intentionally vague about whether it's a date or not, but either way it should be fun.
