Cricket Frittata
I just read a study about the abiotic controls of Argentine ant invasions. It was pretty interesting. But what was really interesting about it was how they cared for their laboratory colonies of ants. Mostly they fed them sugar water, but the ants also sometimes got a protein treat: crickets and scrambled eggs. I don't know why, but I found that to be very amusing (maybe it's the germs scrambling me :) ). Although I think it would be even more funny if it was scrambled eggs and crickets. See, that would imply that the crickets were scrambled in the eggs. Heeheehee. Mmmm, a real delicacy! But clearly the ants weren't considered important enough to get cricket omelets. Just cricket frittatas...
Sock of the day!! Purple crew socks with magenta, blue, and yellow cats. My mom gave them to me =).
