Feast your eyes

Well, I was planning on going to campus today to get some work done... Yeah... That didn't happen. I decided it was unnecessary =D. Anyway, it's a holiday!

So what did I do instead? All sorts of things!

* I read some of a book that I got from Barnes & Noble's warehouse sale.

* I gave Ozzie a bath. He wasn't too thrilled with that. It's been months since his last bath, so he's forgotten how innocuous they actually are. But he calmed down after the shock of the initial immersion. And none of his scratches drew blood. And now his fur is soooo soft! And he looks much thinner too. (He's very fuzzy, and his fur tends to fro out if it hasn't been washed.) But now he's all dry, and he's even forgiven me. Such a sweetie =).

* I watched a few episodes of Law & Order while working in my sweatshop, knitting things for my sister.

* I cooked a very exciting dinner: Tagliatelle with shredded beets, sour cream, and parsley. I love beets! And astonishingly, my hands were not dyed hot pink irreparably. Washed right off. How disappointing. The recipe was good. I especially liked how the sweetness of the beets faded into a spicy aftertaste from the cayenne pepper. I don't get why several of the reviewers said they make it with less cayenne. Weirdos.

* I captioned the pictures from my Washington trip. Check 'em out! Let me know which are your favorites!

* I watched a movie (Laws of Attraction), also while knitting. Almost done with the project!

* And now I think it's time for a shower and more reading.

Right now I'm attired very stylishly to forestall the mosquitos. Reindeer pajamas tucked into cat socks and a ballet long sleeve t-shirt. Hubba hubba!
