Too cute!

This currently seems to be Jenny's favorite picture:

That's our family doggie, Shasta. We'd just taken Mitzi to the vet to get her cleared for the trip out to California, and had stopped by the house to take care of a few more things before going back to our dad's house. Since we were only going to be home for about ten minutes, we decided to leave Mitzi in the carrier. We knew that if we let her out, we'd never be able to get her back in!

Shasta was very interested by the cat-containing box. We couldn't get her away from it! The entire time we were back home, Shasta's nose was never less than four inches from Mitzi!

It was probably a great opportunity. Mitzi's a pretty snooty cat, and never really accepted Shasta into her life, never even let Shasta near her. Shasta's a friendly dog, so it's quite possible that Mitzi's standoffishness always saddened her. But with Mitzi in the box, Shasta was able to get up close and investigate her!

But isn't she a sweetie? She didn't take advantage of Mitzi's imprisonment and torment her. Rather, she seemed concerned for Mitzi. Look at the expression on her cute face. She's very perplexed! What's going on, she asks. Why is Mitzi in a box? This is so confusing! Are you ok, Mitzi?
