The end is near
Ah, Georgia... On the way home from the airport I was confronted with this series of billboards: "Coming soon" and "Jesus". Repent, I say unto thee, for the end is near! And hey, I've never heard of a prophet more foreboding than a billboard... Georgia also has fabulous Chick-fil-a billboards. I love those cows. And chick-fil-a too. I had my first chick-fil-a sandwich in two years today! mmmmm.
This reminds me of other great billboards that I've heard of. Here's a classic, found on I-5 I think: "Remember, sex with minors is a felony!" It's a good thing they have billboards for that... Otherwise I might forget. Luckily, I have a grad student fetish, and since all the grad students I've met are over 18, there's little chance of me becoming a statutory rapist. Phwew. I was worried =P.
And then of course, there are Utah billboards. But I'll wait and let Ben lambast those if he ever decides to (ahem) grace us with a weblog. Speaking of Utah... I connected in Salt Lake to fly home yesterday. It looked so beautiful from the air, I've now resolved to visit Ben. Won't I be such a good friend?! Using him to get to go hiking in Utah... =D But don't worry, I'll make fun of him too. That'll make everything ok.
I actually had one of my best airplane experiences for a long time getting back here. Neither of my flights were full. I had a window and an empty seat on either side on both legs! And on the long one, from Salt Lake to Atlanta, I had my schnookums on the other side of that empty seat! Yay! Why couldn't it have been like this when I went to Florida? Why?!!
It's funny. Now that I'm used to Ozzie and his adorable kitten proportions, Mitzi looks really strange. Huge! And she's a small kitty, only a 7-pounder... She loves the catnip mouse I made for her. Yay!
Tonight I'm taking a ballet class from my old ballet teacher! Hopefully that won't kill me. My calves are still sore from the 128 releves Carolyn made us do on Monday. She's crazy! Ok... time to go veggify before ballet.
